How we teach

Our curriculum

Victory Primary School follows the South African CAPS (Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement) curriculum, enriched with Christian values and integrated learning.

  1. CAPS aligned

    We fully follow the national CAPS curriculum, so our learners are well prepared for high school and beyond.

  2. Faith in every day

    Christian values and biblical principles are woven naturally into daily lessons, devotions and school life.

  3. Learner-centred

    We teach to every learner's strengths, giving each child the attention and support they need to succeed.

  4. Multilingual

    We celebrate and support our learners' home languages while developing strong English and isiXhosa literacy.

Activities

  • Sport

    Football, netball, athletics and more. Sport teaches teamwork, discipline and healthy competition.

  • Creative arts

    Drama, visual arts and crafts give our learners a creative outlet and build confidence.

  • Choir and music

    Our school choir praises God and represents Victory Primary at community and district events.

  • Reading club

    We nurture a love of reading through our weekly reading club and well-stocked school library.
